Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 November 2026
Mini Continent (“we”, “us”) runs minicontinent.org and its weather and bus information pages. This page explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it. We keep this simple because we collect very little.
What we collect
- Newsletter sign-up: your email address, and which page you signed up from. Used only to send you Mini Continent updates and, when they launch, premium weather features. We don’t sell or share this list.
- Contact form: your name, email address, and message, so we can read and reply to you. Kept as a record of correspondence.
- Server logs: standard web server logs (IP address, requested page, timestamp) kept briefly for security and abuse prevention, as with almost any website.
We do not currently use advertising trackers, third-party analytics cookies, or sell data to anyone. We use localStorage only for your own in-browser preferences (e.g. a chosen map view) — this never leaves your device.
Who processes it
Email is sent through our mail provider under a standard processing arrangement. Weather data shown on the site comes from Open-Meteo, AEMET and MET Norway — see each page’s attribution — but we don’t send them any of your personal data; those calls happen from our own servers, not your browser.
How long we keep it
Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact form messages are kept as a record of correspondence; delete requests are honoured promptly (see below).
Your rights
Under UK/EU data protection law you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to stop processing it. Email hello@minicontinent.org and we’ll action it — for a newsletter address this is immediate; just reply “unsubscribe” to any newsletter email, or ask us directly.
Changes
If this policy changes meaningfully, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. For questions, contact hello@minicontinent.org.
